A mini family session {Durham family photographer}
Don't let the word mini fool you, we can achieve A LOT in a short period of time, just as you see here for Lisa and her family. Her daughter was so wonderful and cooperative the whole session, making her a joy to shoot and mom & dad should be pleased their session has such a wide variety.
Tips for a successful mini session:
1. Prepare your child, let them know a day or two in advance they will have their photo taken, again
with reminders until the session day/time, no threats about behaving, just let them know ;)
2. Do not give them sugar prior to a session, save it for after (that brings me to No. 3)
3. Bribes, wait till the last possible point to bribe them, they react on the spot better and will cooperate
for a short time, so just enough to get through the last half
4. If they are not cooperating, just go with it! Leave it in the photographers hands. After all most kids
listen to other adults more then their parents, at least mine do. Plus, I love the candid and least
expected moments WAY better then the planned ones, don't you?
Lisa, it was great to see the family again, I look forward to next time!
