Time for mine

On one of my morning walks a saw an interesting location, so I scoped it our even close one day after getting the kids from school.  Not to shabby if I do say so. I had gone shopping the week before for their outfits, man thats not easy is it? I waited for the perfect autumn light and this day was oozing fall. Its my favourite time of year to shoot so I always update my children's pictures around this time.

Wish I could plan all my sessions with you guys on the fly :)

The photographer gets photographed

I have a confession to make........ I have never had family portraits done.  There, I said it. I want to, but I fear the worst would happen. kids don't cooperate and your left with an OooK picture.  My worst problem is that I am a tad bit (maybe more) of a control freak.  I would have an idea in my head and have such high hopes, I would in turn (likely) ruin a perfect picture because of it.  Am I making sense?
Does anyone else feel this way?

Well in this case Kelly was superb! She is a photographer also, and was put under the same pressure all of you are for the day.  She chose awesome outfits that fit the scenery so well. Makeup was rockin and even little miss was glammed up too with her sparkly eyeshadow ;)

She did..... what I fear I can't do.  She let go. She let go and went with the flow.  She has a few favourite spots that she likes to shoot at, so we covered all of her short list of 'must haves' and just went with it. Turned out great in my opinion.  I know you've been patiently waiting to see these girl.

Fall mini outdoor portraits

This was a chilly day. I have to give BIG thanks to those for braving cold weather and coming out for the day, sorry for those who missed out (because of a date change) but I know I'll see you soon :)
